NOTE- The safety and security of our students is of utmost importance to us. Please review the following guidelines with regards to visiting GCS. For security purposes, please remember to bring valid identification with you when you visit GCS.

Security measures effective January 2019

Instructions for Visitors: Genesis Combined School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and expects all staff, volunteers, and visitors to share this commitment.

Whilst on our premises the following must be observed

1.Health and safety: Your safety and well-being during your visit are important to us. As a visitor, you have a legal duty to care for the health and safety of yourself and others.

2.Emergency: If the fire alarm sounds, please leave the building by the nearest exit and proceed to parking area. Do not re-enter the building until you are told it is safe to do so.

3.Property or vehicle: The school accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to the visitor’s property or vehicle.

4.Classrooms: Do not enter in classrooms unless escorted by a member of staff or by prior arrangements.

Safeguarding children: If you have any concerns that a child has been harmed, is at risk or you receive a disclosure, please contact the main reception as quickly as possible, and ask to speak to a member of staff with responsibility for the child protection.
