Unlike outdated educational programmes of the previous generations that expected all children to learn the same things at the same time, our curriculum is flexible, individual and engaging. We aim to offer every child a rich and unique learning experience that will give them the best possible start in life.
Learning at GCS is based on the individual needs of the children in our care, and is balanced, and developmentally appropriate. It has variations, providing for a wide range of individual experiences. These experiences give the children the opportunity to make choices and take on new challenges. Our school’s programs are based on the individual child – thus ensuring it does not exclude anyone child. Our goal is to inspire delight, curiosity, and inquiry in the classroom. Our program in no way stereotypes in relation to gender, cultural or religious background. Literature is examined to ensure issues of racism, sexism, and typical stereotypes are omitted.
Children’s learning is ongoing and each child will progress toward the outcomes in different and equally meaningful ways. Learning is not always predictable and linear. Educators plan with each child and the outcomes in mind.
We passionately view each child holistically and proudly work in collaboration with our parents to celebrate, value, and document the achievements of their child throughout their time in our care.
